Oddly enough, I get asked more often about Sangria recipe's than I do about wine. So, here it is, white peach Sangria! I personally prefer white Sangria over red because I feel it's more refreshing, especially in summertime. And I've come up with a super easy recipe that doesn't require any cutting of fruit or an overnight wait. It's so good, you'll be drinking from the spout!
- 2 Bottles of Albariño
- 750ml Bacardi White Rum
- 750ml Peach Schnapps
- 1/2 liter Sprite
- 1/2 liter club soda
- Large can of sliced peaches with syrup
- Fresh raspberries
I use a large clear glass jar with metal spout to serve up this deliciously beautiful summertime sipper. First, I pour one large can of peaches, including the syrup into my jar. Next, I add the liquid ingredients. Also, depending on the size of your jar or bowl, you may need to add more or less club soda and Sprite. Some people prefer Sangria really sweet, so for this you can add more Sprite. If you like the opposite, go heavy on the club soda. This recipe doesn't require you to let it sit overnight, however, I personally love how the peach flavor intensifies when you do. If you plan to make it the night before, just be sure to keep it in the fridge so the peaches stay intact. When you're ready to serve your Sangria, that's when you add the raspberries. If they sit overnight they loose their bright red color and become mushy. And don't forget, leave a spoon nearby for guests to scoop fruit out to add to their drink.
